It is still a long way to go for the formation of Telangana state and there are reports from New Delhi that the Centre might slow down the process in the wake of strong protests across Seemandhra region.
But, the Telangana leaders are understood to have already started talking about distribution of posts and positions in the imaginative Telangana state.
According to sources, present deputy chief minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has begun lobbying for the chief minister post. And in case, the high command does not favour him as the chief minister, he wants that he retains at least the present deputy CM post.
According to sources, former Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas has already reserved his berth for the CM post in the Telangana state, even it is for a few months.
On the other hand, panchayat raj minister K Jana Reddy has also thrown his hat into the ring for the CM post. If DS gets the chance to become the CM, Jana also wants the deputy CM post.
At the same time, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao has reportedly put a condition to the Congress high command that if he has to merge his party with the Congress, his son K T Rama Rao, Siricilla MLA, should be made the deputy CM.
So, it means there would be three deputy CMs for the Telangana state!
